Medi becomes principal sponsor of Nacho Ortí

Medi is pursuing its sponsorship strategy in the sailing world and reinforcing its market position on the scene by
becoming the sponsor of sailor Nacho Ortí. In 2007 this Valencian sailor will tackle the Atlantic Ocean alone
when he participates in one f the most important and riskiest international regattas, the Transat 650.
Under the terms of the sponsorship deal, the property development company will support the various competitions
contested bay Nacho Ortí until the beginning of the cross-Atlantic regatta in September of next year. Medi will
also be able to use Orti´s image in any advertising capaigns or sales actions. The purpose of the "Transat 650"
project is to obtain the best possible sporting result in this regatta thar will depart from the French port of
La Rochelle and conclude in Bahía (Brazil), after a stop at Lanzarote and crossing the Atlantic.
From now until the regatta commences, Nacho Ortí will be busy making sure that his vessel is in order. His boat
is one of the best in its category and is renowned for its sildity and speed at the stern. A prototype design by
the Finot-Conq studio and built in 2001, it obtained excellent results at the last edition of the Minitransat.
It is 6.5 metres long, with a beam of 2.96 metres and a maximum draft of 2 metres.
Antonio Lleó, Chief Executive of Medi, expressed his satisfaction at being able to support a project of this scale.
"We hope thar our contribution will help Nacho to achieve his sporting goals", said Lleó.
For his part, Nacho Ortí thanked the property development company for its efforts in "supporting my project,
and I will naturally do my very best to achieve the targets set".
Since its foundation in 2000, Medi has developed a close association with the sailing worl, showing a firm
commitment to thi sport that is becoming increasingly important in the region of Valencia.
